The County Marathon
The (PEC) County Half Marathon
Event Details
There are three races for this event: full marathon (a Boston qualifier), half marathon, and a new 5K distance.
The half marathon is the one and only race of this event that is part of the KRRA Race Series.
This event presents beautiful Picton County on a closed course. Buses deliver half marathon runners from the Community Centre pickup, to the half marathon start line (halfway point of the full marathon).
This year, finisher medals and tech shirts are included in registration. Shirts are available for a limited time and limited quantity. To guarantee a shirt, avoid late registration.

Location & Schedule
Buses drive runners out to Wellington ON for the full marathon start, and to the Half startline, from Crystal Palace, downtown Picton ON.
Saturday: Race day kit pick-up
800am: Full Marathon start
830am: 5K race start
1000am: Half Marathon race start
Registration
5K runner and walker registration is $50. Registration for the Kids 1-Miler is $18.44, with a limited number of spots.

Being a KRRA member gets a $10 discount with code for both the full and half distances.
Awards & Prizes
Kids 1 Miler: Awards for Top 3 Female and Top 3 Male athletes (no age categories, max age is 12).
5K Race: Awards for Top 3 Female and Top 3 Male athletes. Top 3 Age Category prizes for 10-and-under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Middle of the Pack Award. Numerous draw prizes available.
Additional Award: $100 cash prize for any Male or Female Athlete who bests the current course record. Current record for Males is 14:52 (Kevin Coffey, 2022). Current record for Females is 16:44 (Anna Workman, 2023).
Course Description
Kids 1-Miler
The morning begins with the Kids 1-Mile Race, which begins and finishes at the museum. After the Start > right on East St. > left on Graham St. E. > left on John St. > left on Thomas St E. > left onto East St. to repeat the loop > straight through on Thomas St E. to the finish.
