Each Race Supports a Selected Charity or Non-Profit
The KRRA Memberships and Race Series help to support many great causes and charities in the Kingston area.
Some of the most significant KRRA support is for the Start2Finish Running and Reading Program, (formerly KidsFest) through Molly Brant Public School in Kingston. In this program, volunteer coaches share their love of running, health, and reading with disadvantaged kids in Kingston and promote a healthy lifestyle to public school children grades 1 to 6.
Start2finish Running and Reading Program
Start2finish is the non-profit organization, long-supported by the KRRA. Start2finish is an excellent example of a funding recipient putting donations to good use. Not only are funds committed to Start2finish, but a number of KRRA members volunteer their time and energy to this worthy organization.
KRRA Student Bursary
Each year the KRRA makes available two bursaries for high school students who qualify and apply. Since 2009 the KRRA has awarded numerous $500 bursaries, to one female and one male graduate, who are active in running, and of a Kingston & District secondary school.
