Event Details
Please join us for the first race of the KRRA season, the 8km Resolution Run in support of Lionhearts Inc. The race this year is being held from the Royal Kingston Curling Club, 130 Days Rd, with a double-loop race route through the Reddendale area. It’s a winter wonderland so be sure to dress in layers and expect anything from sunny skies, to arctic cold, to tricky footing.
DO NOT WEAR OUTDOOR SHOES INTO THE CURLING CLUB. BRING A PAIR OF INDOOR SHOES OR PREPARE TO WEAR SOCKS.
This running event is part of the KRRA RACE SERIES. Series points awarded for this Race are 75 overall, and 15 points for age category.
Location & Schedule
8:30am: Race day kit pick-up at the Royal Kingston Curling Club 130 Days Road, Kingston, ON, K7M 9G4
10:00am: Race starts in the parking lot of RG Sinclair Public School.
11:45am: Awards commence (approximately), at Royal Kingston Curling Club.
Registration
8K runner registration is $50, with a $5 discount for 2026 KRRA Members.
There is no Race Day registration.
Registration is located on the Trackie platform. Registration link will be active once it is live.
Once open, don’t delay. Swag supplies are limited. Don’t miss out.
Awards & Prizes
8K Race: Awards for Top 3 Female and Top 3 Male athletes. Top 3 Age Category prizes for 10-and-under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Middle of the Pack Award. Numerous draw prizes available.
Course Description
8K Course
- Start and finish at RG Sinclair Public School parking lot:
- turn right (south) down Cretar Blvd.
- turn right (west) onto Lakeshore Blvd; following it as it curves north.
- turn left (west) onto Wartman Avenue.
- 2K turnarund is just west of Welborne Ave.
- head back to startline.
- repeat the course out to the turnaround.
- return to the finish line to complete the 8K.
When finished the race, return the Curling Club for drinks, snacks, and the Awards Ceremony.
